There’s nothing quite like a summer's day and an ice-cold pint, which is why I’m delighted that
The Bowls Club LDN has partnered with Peroni for 2024. I mean - it just makes sense! The
world’s leading premium beer brand, for its Italian craftsmanship, passion and flair paired with
the ultimate British sport. To mark this momentous occasion, we decided that it only seemed fair
to learn how the world’s legendary cicerones go about pouring that all-illusive PERFECT pint.
I’m sure there’s many an enlightened pub frequenter has sipped upon a poorly poured pint.
Stumble upon poor liquid-to-foam ratio and you’ll be “savouring” a beer that has ‘oxidised’. This
is where that metallic taste comes from - the exact opposite of what you expect when settling
down for an evening tipple. Thankfully, Peroni provides full training to all of its partners, ensuring
all of The Bowls Club LDN bartenders know just how to pour the type of Peroni pint that makes
your taste buds quiver and your mouth salivate at the very thought.
So, pouring the perfect pint - what does that entail?
1. You need a clean glass (obviously!). The Peroni Signature Pint Glass is a
thing of beauty - I’m sure we can all agree. But its stylish design isn’t just
a party for your eyes.
The nucleated base has been designed to allow bubbles to flow faster, helping to create the perfect head too.
2. You need to tip the glass at a 45-degree angle while pouring so the beer hits
the edge of the glass - it is the foam that locks in the flavour so we want to nurture it like a newborn baby.
3. You need to slowly straighten the glass as the glass fills to the top. THIS is my favourite part - the moment when you see that golden nectar climbing all the way to the top.
4. And that’s it! Three steps and you’ll have a perfectly poured Peroni. You know the kind - one that glistens in the Summer sunshine, beckoning you in like some sort of hydration siren!
Of course, we could all sit at home pouring a pint of Peroni from a bottle but where’s the fun in
